We fully appreciate that it can be really confusing for everybody to know what we can and can’t right now.
A lot of the guidelines will be based on where you live, where you are planning to travel too and who you are spending time with when you get there.
Keeping yourself and others safe is obviously the priority, so we hope that the COVID protocols we have put in place show how we are supporting this as our priority as well.
Tier 1 is where your local COVID level is deemed as ‘medium’:
- You are able to travel within and outside your region.
- You can socialise with a bubble of up to 6 people inside and outside (other than where a legal exemption applies).
- You are still required to wear a mask to protect others.
- You are still advised to follow social distancing.
- You are reminded to wash your hands and sanitise when possible.
The majority of the UK is currently within this tier, however, it is important to keep checking as this may change.
Tier 2 is where your local COVID level is deemed as ‘high’:
- You must not socialise with anybody outside of your household or support bubble in any indoor setting, whether at home or in a public place
- You must not socialise in a group of more than 6 outside, including in a garden or other spaces like beaches or parks (other than where specific exemptions apply in law)
- Businesses and venues can continue to operate, in a COVID-secure manner, such as the National Space Centre.
- You are still required to wear a mask to protect others.
- You are still advised to follow social distancing.
- You are reminded to wash your hands and sanitise when possible.
There are a small number of cities and counties of the UK is currently within this tier, however, it is important to keep checking as this may change.
Tier 3 is where your local COVID level is deemed as ‘very high’:
- You must not socialise with anybody you do not live with, or have formed a support bubble with, in any indoor setting or in any private garden or at most outdoor hospitality venues and ticketed events
- You must not socialise in a group of more than 6 in an outdoor public space such as a park or beach, the countryside, a public garden or a sports venue
- You are still required to wear a mask to protect others.
- You are still advised to follow social distancing.
- You are reminded to wash your hands and sanitise when possible.
Liverpool and some of the surrounding areas is currently within this tier, however, it is important to keep checking as this may change.
FAQs
Can I visit the National Space Centre at this time?
Yes, if you are following the above guidelines and do not visit with people outside your family group or bubble. It is currently advised that those in Tier 3 restrict all travel, so we would strongly advise those living in a Tier 3 area to not visit at this time.
What happens if I have booked for a party larger than 6?
If all of those six people are from the same household, you are fine to visit, as you already live together. However, if you have booked to meet more than 6 people from multiple households, current guidelines prohibit this. Please contact info@spacecentre.co.uk and we will transfer your bookings to another date of your choosing (please note, we can put a note on your booking so you can select a date within the next 12 months in the future).
